1. Who you are agreeing with
The FiskalScan service is provided by Vjori Hoxha, an individual sole operator based in Albania("we", "us"). Our contact address is contact@fiskalscan.com.
2. What FiskalScan does
FiskalScan is a personal-use mobile and web application that lets you scan QR codes on Albanian fiscal receipts, pulls the corresponding official invoice from the Albanian tax authority, and stores it in your account so you can view, search, export, and analyse your spending. We are an independent app and have no affiliation with the General Directorate of Taxation of the Republic of Albania.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to create an account.
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
- If you sign in with Google, you authorise us to receive and store the Google identifier and email address as described in our Privacy Policy.
- If you sign in with Apple on iOS, you authorise us to receive and store the Apple identifier and email address (which may be Apple's private-relay proxy if you chose to hide it) as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Notify us immediately at contact@fiskalscan.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use FiskalScan for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
- Upload or attempt to scan content you have no right to process.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except where this is expressly permitted by law.
- Probe, scan, or test the security of the service without prior written permission, or interfere with its operation.
- Use automated means (scrapers, bots) to access the service in a manner that imposes an unreasonable load.
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the service or its data.
5. Your content
The receipts and invoice data you collect through the service belong to you. We do not claim any ownership over your content. To operate the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, and process your data solely for the purpose of providing FiskalScan to you. This licence ends when you delete the relevant content or your account.
6. Accuracy of fiscal data
The invoice details we display come directly from the Albanian tax authority (tatime.gov.al) at the moment of the scan. We do not modify, validate, or guarantee the correctness of the underlying data. If a value looks wrong, the dispute is with the issuing merchant or the tax authority, not with FiskalScan.
7. Service availability
We aim to keep the service available, but we do not promise 100% uptime. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, or circumstances outside our control — including outages of the Albanian tax authority API, on which scanning depends. We are not liable for any consequences of such downtime beyond our reasonable control.
8. Not professional advice
FiskalScan is provided for informational and personal-organisation purposes only. Nothing the service displays, exports, or otherwise produces constitutes financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice. You should not rely on FiskalScan as a substitute for official tax records or for the advice of a qualified professional.
You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable tax, accounting, and legal obligations that apply to you. FiskalScan does not guarantee that your use of the service will satisfy any regulatory requirement, and the existence or content of records inside FiskalScan does not modify your obligations toward any tax authority or other competent body.
9. Free service, no warranties
FiskalScan is currently provided free of charge for personal use and is offered "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Vjori Hoxha, our affiliates, or our service providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or use, arising out of or in connection with your use of FiskalScan, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with the use of FiskalScan shall not exceed fifty euros (€50) or the equivalent in your local currency.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.
11. Suspension and termination
You can stop using FiskalScan and delete your account at any time from inside the app, as described at /account/delete. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if your account is used to harm others, or if continued operation would expose us to legal risk. If we have to act, we will tell you the reason where we are able to.
12. Changes to the service or these Terms
We may modify the service over time — adding features, changing how things look, or retiring functionality. We may also change these Terms; when we do, we will announce the change inside the app and by email to your registered address. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Albania. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the use of FiskalScan that cannot be resolved amicably will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Tirana, Albania, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence.
