Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)
- Open the FiskalScan app on your iOS or Android device.
- Sign in if you aren't already.
- Tap Profile in the bottom navigation bar.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Read the on-screen warning. It explains what will be lost.
- Confirm your identity:
- If you signed up with email and password, enter your password.
- If you signed in with Google, complete a fresh Google sign-in.
- If you signed in with Apple (iOS only), complete a fresh Sign in with Apple.
- Tap Confirm deletion.
You will be signed out of every device immediately, and a confirmation email will be sent to your registered address.
Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If your phone is lost, broken, or you no longer have access to the app, send us an email from the same email address that's on your account to:
Please use the subject line Account deletion request. We will verify your identity, complete the deletion within five working days, and reply to confirm. We may ask you to answer one or two questions to confirm ownership before we proceed; this protects you against someone else attempting to delete your account.
What gets deleted
When you complete the deletion, the following are scheduled for permanent erasure after the 30-day grace period:
- Your user profile (email, name, hashed password, Google identifier, Apple identifier, avatar, language preference, push notification token).
- Every fiscal invoice and invoice item linked to your account.
- All saved dashboards and widgets.
- Every export file you have generated, plus the underlying database records.
- All sessions and active devices.
- Any pending email or password verification tokens.
What is retained, and why
For a strictly limited time and on a strictly limited basis, we retain:
- Server logs containing IP address, user-agent, request method, and response code — for up to 30 days, then deleted. These are needed for security and abuse-prevention purposes (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Encrypted off-site database backups — these may contain a copy of your data until the relevant backup ages out, normally within 35 days. Backup copies are not actively processed and are not accessible through the live application or normal operational processes; they are used solely for disaster recovery and are automatically overwritten as the rolling window advances. We do not restore individual user accounts from backups.
We do not keep a copy of your data for marketing, analytics, training, or any other secondary purpose.
The 30-day grace period
When you confirm deletion, your account is immediately marked as deleted. You are signed out everywhere and the account becomes inaccessible. For the next 30 days, you can ask us to restore it by writing to contact@fiskalscan.com from the same email address. After 30 days, an automated job permanently removes the underlying records and the action is irreversible.
If you only want to delete some data
If you would like to remove a single invoice instead of the whole account, you can do so from the invoice detail screen in the app. To exercise other GDPR rights — access, rectification, restriction, portability, or objection — see Section 8 of our Privacy Policy.
